 Interview
The Taylor House, a gracious sixteen room Victorian home in Boston's Jamaica Plain Section, was built in 1853 for George W. Taylor, an international merchant head- quartered in Boston. It is situated within the Monument Square Historic District, and lies in an area known as "Pondside", which contains some of Jamaica Plain's finest suburban architecture. The structure is predominately Italianate in style, but retains some Greek Revival elements that reflect the earliest architectural style found in Jamaica Plain.
A distinctive octagonal Cupola sits atop the main house, and this shape is echoed in a number of ways within the interior of the structure. The Taylor House offers large rooms with high ceilings, private bathrooms and comfortable conveniences. All of these rooms have distinctive light fixtures, unique decorative paint finishes, and modern art. The bathrooms are each different and newly renovated.

Each room has a queen bed, TV/VCR, and a private phone line with internet access. Guests with a wireless PC card can tap into an in-house wireless network. The Taylor House is convenient to fine dining, shopping and entertainment venues.
